The first China Airlines Airbus A350 routes have been announced by the airline ahead of it introducing the new type to its fleet this summer.

Based out of Taipei Taoyuan airport, China Airlines will fly their A350XWB aircraft on the following routes:

  • Taipei – Amsterdam
  • Taipei – Frankfurt
  • Taipei – Rome Fiumicino
  • Taipei – Vienna

Other A350 destinations being touted include Madrid.

The new aircraft will remove the need for stopovers in Bangkok and Delhi on its European routes.

This news coincides with the appearance of the first aircraft on the production line. Once delivered in July it is likely to operate regional and short-haul flights for crew familiarisation.

China Airlines Airbus A350 aircraft are being used by the airline to strengthen its reach to Europe, and in cooperations with partner airlines. The improved economy and comfort of the type will improve the airline’s on-board experience and reputation between Europe and Asia.

The airline said it will introduce “a contemporary, next-generation cabin design, which will complement different ambient mood-lighting scenarios. Boarding/takeoff music will create a feeling of exclusive elegance.” China Airlines is also introducing an onboard Sky Bistro in a European tavern style.
