How to Fly on a WestJet 737 MAX

WestJet is set to become the first operator in Canada of the 737 MAX this winter as it takes delivery of the first of 50 of the type on delivery.

Now, the first WestJet 737 MAX routes have been announced.

The first week of flying commencing 9 November 2017, will see the type operate from Calgary to Toronto, on to Vancouver, and back to Calgary.

Then, the type will settle initially on the following routes from 17 November:

  • Calgary – Vancouver
  • Toronto – Calgary
  • Toronto – Vancouver

All flights operate up to 3x daily.

 

From March 2018 the WestJet 737 MAX aircraft will begin serving Toronto to Edmonton and Las Vegas, and Calgary to Palm Springs.

WestJet has a mix of 737 MAX 7, 8 and 9 aircraft on delivery. The first aircraft, due in 2017, will be 737 MAX 8s.
