Gulf Air will become a new Boeing 787 Dreamliner operator in June, and the Middle East airline has just announced its first destination with the type will be London.

At present Gulf Air flies Airbus A330s (and sometimes A320s) between Bahrain and London Heathrow, but from 15 June 2018 the 787 will begin flying the route 2x daily. The schedule is as follows:

GF007 BAH0115 – 0625LHR 789 D
GF003 BAH1010 – 1520LHR 789 D

GF002 LHR1000 – 1835BAH 789 D
GF006 LHR2205 – 0640+1BAH 789 D

Gulf Air’s Boeing 787-9 aircraft will arrive from April 2018, and presumably be used on some regional flights to train crews before the London launch.

These aircraft will add a bit of modernity to Gulf Air in the face of competition from other Middle Eastern carriers.

More routes will be added in due course. See our 787 Routes Page for regular updates.
