The first of the larger Boeing 787-9s ordered by Norwegian has been delivered to the airline.
The aircraft, registered EI-LNI, was delivered from Paine Field near Seattle to the carrier’s Oslo base ahead of introduction to scheduled service. It wears the profile of Swedish actress Greta Garbo on the tail.
Norwegian has 30 Boeing 787-9s on order, which will supplement the eight 787-8s it already operates.
These larger aircraft will be utilised on popular transatlantic routes primarily from Oslo and London Gatwick airports.
