The airline has eight Boeing 737 MAX 9 aircraft on order, with eight more to be leased. The aircraft will seat 189 passengers.

The aircraft is efficient enough to allow low-cost, long distance flights where widebody and larger aircraft were previously required.

Brussels Airport has seen a number of new long-haul and low-cost routes in recent years.
