Subject to them emerging from Examinership (Irish version of bankruptcy protection), Aer Arann will be coming to London Southend Airport next year.

Stobart Group, who own Southend Airport, have pursued the carrier to begin flights to Ireland for both passengers and cargo, and expect the airline to eventually carry 300,000 passengers per year on the route(s).

Stobart have also set aside 2.5million Euros for marketing and pursuing passengers for these flights, which will start in March 2011.
