airBaltic is celebrating the delivery of its 40th Airbus A220 aircraft with a special livery.
The aircraft, YL-ABN (msn 55215), is an Airbus A220-300 and will be delivered to the airline in April. It is expected a ceremony will be held to mark its arrival in Riga.
It was unveiled at Montreal, where the aircraft is manufactured, in a ceremony to mark the milestone delivery.
airBaltic has become one of the largest operators of the Airbus A220 (formerly the Bombardier CSeries) aircraft, and has recently transitioned into an all-A220 operator having retired its older Boeing 737 and de Havilland Canada DHC-8 Q400 fleets.

The airline also flies another Airbus A220 in a Latvian flag livery. YL-CSL’s scheme is to mark Latvia’s 100th anniversary.
