Alaska Airlines has taken the wraps off its latest themed aircraft, introducing a vibrant new livery that celebrates the spirit of adventure and dreaming big. The Boeing 737-800, registered N596AS, is named Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Flyer and features a stunning design inspired by Disney’s The Princess and the Frog.

The special livery was unveiled at Portland International Airport before embarking on its inaugural flight to Santa Ana, California. Developed in collaboration with Disneyland Resort, the design captures the essence of Princess Tiana’s adventurous journey and the new “Tiana’s Bayou Adventure” attraction coming to Disneyland Park.

The intricate artwork on the 737-800 took more than 2,000 hours to complete. It features Princess Tiana prominently, along with colorful depictions of Louis the alligator splashing among bayou water lilies, a trail of twinkling fireflies from nose to tail, and Mama Odie and Prince Naveen on the winglets. The design brings to life the energy, joy, and wonder of Tiana’s story and the new attraction.

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Flyer is Alaska Airlines’ ninth Disneyland Resort-themed aircraft—and notably, the first to feature a Disney Princess. It will be seen flying across Alaska’s network for the next several years, offering travelers a little extra magic on their journeys.

For younger passengers, a special Tiana’s Bayou Adventure snack pack will be available for purchase on board beginning this summer, while supplies last.

“As Disneyland Resort prepares to celebrate its 70th anniversary, this latest addition honors our legacy and looks ahead to a bright future with Princess Tiana leading the way,” said Sybil Crum, vice president of marketing and commercial strategy at Disneyland Resort.

Alaska Airlines’ partnership with Disneyland Resort spans over 25 years, bringing themed aircraft like Mickey’s Toontown Express, Star Wars Transport to the Disneyland Resort, and Friendship and Beyond at Disneyland Resort to the skies. The arrival of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Flyer also comes just ahead of Disneyland’s 70th Celebration, set to kick off on May 16, 2025.

Passengers can look forward to spotting this colorful new addition flying throughout Alaska’s system, bringing a touch of adventure to every flight.
