by Matt Falcus

Almost 40 years ago Delta Air Lines employees raised $30 million to purchase a brand new Boeing 767-200 aircraft, which was duly dedicated The Spirit of Delta.

Now retired and on display at the Delta Flight Museum in Atlanta, one of the airline’s technical directors has instigated the dedication of a new Spirit of Delta aircraft, this time one of the the modern Airbus A350 fleet.

The aircraft chosen is Ship #3502, N502DN, and recently had titles added to the forward fuselage behind the cockpit.
