Former Mahan Air 747-300 Flying in Venezuela

by Matt Falcus

One of the two Boeing 747-300s flown by Mahan Air has been sold as a freighter in Venezuela.

EP-MND had been grounded for a number of years, while stablemate EP-MNE was brought back to passenger service sporadically – and notably as the last 747-300 carrying passengers.

Now, EP-MND has appeared in Emtrasur Cargo colours, wearing the registration YV3531.

Emtrasur Cargo seems to be a new airline, based at El Libertador Air Base near Maracay in central Venezuela. It remains to be seen where they will operate this classic jet.
