Qatar Airways has unveiled a striking new FIFA World Cup 2026 special livery aircraft, celebrating the airline’s continued partnership with world football’s biggest tournament ahead of next summer’s competition in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
The aircraft chosen for the special scheme is Boeing 777-300ER A7-BEH, one of the airline’s long-haul workhorses. The aircraft now carries an eye-catching design featuring FIFA World Cup 2026 branding, tournament imagery and bold blue graphics blended with Qatar Airways’ traditional burgundy colours.
The unveiling continues Qatar Airways’ long-running association with FIFA, having previously carried prominent branding during the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 tournament. The airline remains FIFA’s Official Airline Partner through to 2030 and is expected to play a major role transporting fans, teams and officials to matches across North America next year.
According to Qatar Airways, the specially-painted Boeing 777 will operate on selected services across Europe, Asia and the United States in the build-up to the tournament, effectively turning the aircraft into a flying promotion for the competition.
For enthusiasts, A7-BEH is a familiar aircraft within the Qatar Airways fleet. The Boeing 777-300ER first flew in February 2016 and is powered by two General Electric GE90 engines. Internally, the aircraft has also received bespoke FIFA-themed cabin decorations and branding to create a unique onboard experience for passengers.
The airline says the special cabin dressing will remain in place even after the World Cup concludes, preserving the aircraft as a commemorative flagship within the fleet.
Special liveries linked to major sporting events have become increasingly popular among airlines, and the Qatar Airways design joins a growing list of FIFA World Cup 2026-themed aircraft already appearing around the world. American Airlines and several Latin American carriers have also unveiled football-themed aircraft ahead of the tournament.
For plane spotters, the aircraft is likely to become one of the most sought-after Qatar Airways jets over the coming months as it appears at major international gateways across the airline’s network.
