Airbus has revealed the first two TAP Portugal A330neos at Toulouse following a rare double-painting session at the final assembly line.
The airline will become the launch customer for the new, upgraded widebody featuring new engines and efficiency. TAP is an all-Airbus carrier, operating the A320 family, A330 classic and A340s.
The A330neo brings together unbeatable economics and the proven values of Airbus’ popular A330 product line. Equipped with extended-span wings incorporating upturned Sharklets wingtips, it is powered by new Rolls-Royce Trent 7000 engines.
These two new jetliners include the “A330neo / first to fly” wording on the fuselage, underscoring their upcoming role as the first to enter commercial airline service. Otherwise they are painted in the standard white, green and red livery of TAP.
The aircraft will have the registrations CS-TUA and CS-TUB.
