Romanian national carrier TAROM was expected to retire its Airbus A318 aircraft by the end of October, but has since indicated the final flights will now take place at the end of November.
As one of only two commercial carriers still flying the smallest member of the A320 family, TAROM has only one A318 aircraft still in service – YR-ASA.
Alongside Air France, which is also anticipating retirement of its A318 fleet, TAROM has become one of the only chances to fly this rare aircraft.

Final Flight Details
Updated information has indicated that the final TAROM Airbus A318 flight will now take place on 22 November 2024.
Destinations served by the type include Amsterdam Schiphol, Istanbul and London Heathrow, but the exact service is not yet known.
YR-ASA is destined for part-out and scrapping, like the three other counterparts in the TAROM fleet which have all been sold for such a purpose.

Air France A318s
Once TAROM retires its last Airbus A318, it will leave only Air France still flying the type.
This airline uses the A318 on routes out of Paris Charles de Gaulle to Amsterdam, Dublin, Florence, London Heathrow, Madrid, Marseille, Nice and Toulouse.
However, with more Airbus A220s joining the airline as replacements, the A318s are expected to be fully retired soon.

As an avgeek, seeing and reading this really is sad. Hopefully air france will still keep their babybuses for a while from now, i have never flown the a318, but i hope that i can fly it using air france, because when air france retires it, the plane is gone forever😢
