This time, we’ve got plenty of new types joining airlines around the world, as well as some special promotional and ‘retro’ schemes.
For plane spotters, this is great news. Get out there with your cameras and see what you can spot!
Here are the new airliners to see:
AirAsia Move
AirAsia has added this striking scheme to Airbus A320 HS-BBG as part of its promotional link with Move.
AirAsia Rainforest
AirAsia has added this special livery to Airbus A320 9M-AGK to promote Malaysia rainforest tourism.
Air Arabia’s First A320neo
The Middle East low-cost airline has taken delivery of its first two Airbus A320neo aircraft recently, joining the large fleet of ceo examples. These are A6-ARA/ARB.
Air Niugini’s First A220
Air Niugini used the occasion of receiving its first Airbus A220-300 aircraft, P2-PGA, to show off a special 50th anniversary livery of the island nation’s independence.
Azerbaijan First A320neo
The first Airbus A320neo for Azerbaijan Airlines has been delivered. It is VP-BAK.
China Airlines Special Livery
China Eastern Airlines has added a special scheme to Boeing 777-300ER B-7882 showcasing the National Museum of China and some of its most important artefacts.
China Southern Special Livery
China Southern has painted this Airbus A350, B-308T, in this special scheme to mark the 15th National Games in China. Read the story.
Croatia’s First Short A220
Croatia Airlines has become only the 5th carrier in the world to operate the smaller Airbus A220-100, with the delivery of 9A-CAO last week. Read the story.
JetBlue Jets Update
JetBlue Airways has updated its New York Jets special livery aircraft. The updated scheme represents this year’s uniform. It is Airbus A320 N746JB.
JetBlue Puerto Rico
Another special JetBlue livery has been introduced this month. Airbus A320 N657JB is wearing this scheme, named Isla del Bluencanto, featuring references to Puerto Rico’s heritage and culture. JetBlue is the largest carrier flying to Puerto Rico. Read the story.
JSX ‘Retro’
To mark its 50th aircraft, JSX Air (formerly JetSuiteX) has introduced a special retro-themed livery. It is on Embraer 145 N960JX. Read the story.
Kalitta Air’s First Converted Freighter
Kalitta Air last month took delivery of its first two converted Boeing 777-300ER freighters. These former passenger-carrying aircraft are now hauling cargo for the airline.
Lufthansa Flagship Livery
To mark its upcoming 100th anniversary, Lufthansa is adding this special Flagship livery on new Boeing 787-9 arrival D-ABPU, which will be delivered soon. Read the story.
Transavia New Livery
The first aircraft to wear Transavia’s new, updated livery was delivered in September. It is A320 F-HXSX of the Transavia France division. Find out more about the new livery here.
