Over the past few days two new airlines have taken delivery of their first Boeing 737 MAX aircraft.
First was Air Canada, whose first 737 MAX 8 aircraft is C-FTJV.
It is the first of 61 examples the Canadian national carrier has on order to completely revitalise its short- and medium-haul mainline fleets. You’ll also see them operating across the Atlantic!
The type will enter service this month on passenger flights.
Â
Second came Air China, with 737 MAX 8 B-1397.
Air China is the first airline in the country to receive the 737 MAX. However, customers throughout China will take delivery of nearly 100 737 MAXs by the end of next year.
Â
The 737 MAX is the fastest selling airplane in Boeing history, accumulating more than 3,900 orders to date from 92 customers worldwide.
