New US Carrier Red Way to Launch in June

by Matt Falcus

A new US carrier is to launch operations in June, based at Lincoln, NE.

The airline is known as Red Way and has plans to launch seven domestic routes from the airport, which has been the catalyst behind the new operation.

Lincoln previously had airline service from Delta Air Lines, but lost this in 2022, leaving only limited service from United Express. Ever since the loss, the airport’s management has been seeking to attract a charter or low-cost airline to fill the void and has now decided to create their own instead.

Red Way Routes

Red Way will initially operate the following seven routes:

  • Lincoln – Atlanta, GA
  • Lincoln – Austin, TX
  • Lincoln – Dallas Ft Worth, TX
  • Lincoln – Las Vegas, NV
  • Lincoln – Minneapolis St Paul, MN
  • Lincoln – Nashville, TN
  • Lincoln – Orlando International, FL

Las Vegas and Orlando will start on 8 June, with the other routes commencing on 16 and 24 June.

GlobalX

Global Crossing A320 N276GX-2

Red Way is essentially a virtual airline, and will operate with aircraft flown by Global Crossing Airlines (also known as GlobalX). These will be Airbus A320ceo models.

GlobalX is known for providing charter services on behalf of many customers, and will operated these new routes on a published schedule, with most services operating twice weekly.

It is hoped this could become a success for the airport and its customers, with fares as low as $59 each way.
