The latest addition to the fleet of special centenary livery aircraft for Lufthansa has been rolled out, and it’s a special one!
This time, it’s Boeing 747-8 D-ABYN which has received the XXL Crane scheme.
The aircraft was painted in San Bernardino, CA, and will now ferry back to Frankfurt ready to enter service. It will then be seen across the airline’s long-haul network.
About the XXL Crane Livery
These special schemes are being introduced throughout 2026 to mark Lufthansa’s 100th anniversary since first being founded in 1926.
The livery features a mostly blue scheme, with a white crane bird logo stretching across the wings and upper fuselage.
To date, the livery has been added to Airbus A320neo, A350 and A380 and Boeing 787-9 aircraft, along with this 747-8.
One more aircraft, an A350-1000, is due to complete the set when it is delivered to the airline later this year.
