Aeroflot Receives First Neo Aircraft

Aeroflot Russian Airlines has had a bumper week of new aircraft deliveries from Airbus.

With no fewer than five brand new aircraft delivered on 28 May, it was the arrival of two new types to the fleet that are the most interesting.

Aeroflot took delivery of its first Airbus A320neo family aircraft, with both the A320neo and A321neo variants joining for the first time.

The aircraft are:

VP-BPR – A320-251N

VP-BRC – A321-251NX

VP-BPP – A321-251NX

Aeroflot has 5 more A320neo and one more A321neo on order, but is likely to produce follow-up orders as its older classic models approach retirement.

Also delivered to Aeroflot this week were two more Airbus A350-941 aircraft, VP-BXA and VQ-BFZ.
