Breeze Airways yesterday inaugurated scheduled passenger services following its launch earlier this month.
The new airline from David Neeleman (Azul, JetBlue, WestJet) is initially operating to 16 destinations throughout the eastern and midwestern United States using a fleet of Embraer 190 and 195 aircraft.
It will expand over coming months and is expected to start taking delivery of Airbus A220 aircraft from October.
The first flight happened on 27 May 2021 between Charleston, SC, Tampa, FL, and Hartford, CT.
