Carlton Hotel Dublin Airport Spotting Hotel Review

by Matt Falcus

We’ve recently had this review and pictures sent in showing what the views are like from the Carlton Hotel at Dublin Airport.

The review was sent in by Paul Rasey, who recently stayed at the hotel to check out what it’s like for spotting.

This hotel is located just next to the approach end of runway 28 – the most common for landing at Dublin. Here’s a map showing its location:

Paul says:

“I recently stayed at Carlton Hotel Dublin Airport.. The views were very good from even-numbered rooms in the range 222 – 260.”

You can see some examples from these camera phone pictures.

Paull adds: “The room was very good, but a bit pricey. The staff were friendly and meals were good.”

The Carlton Hotel has a free transfer bus to and from airport terminal every 30 minutes.

What’s more, it’s also only a 5-10 minute walk from the viewing area which most spotters head for along Old Airport Road.
