EVA Air has brought forward the planned date for retirement of its Boeing 747-400 fleet.

Originally planned for the end of October 2017, the EVA Air 747 final flight is now likely to be on 20 August 2017 instead.

The final flight, according to Routes Online, is expected to be Shanghai Pudong to Taipei Taoyuan, although changes are still possible.

At present EVA Air operates its Boeing 747s from Taipei to Beijing, Hong Kong, Macau, Manila, Seattle, Shanghai, Shenzhen and Vancouver. Most of these services end in April and July as the fleet is reduced in numbers.
