Riyadh Air Unveils Livery

by admin

New Saudi Arabian national carrier Riyadh Air has unveiled the first of two liveries that will be used on its fleet ahead of services starting in 2025.

As we reported previously, Riyadh Air is being set up alongside the existing national carrier Saudia, and will have its own identity and route network.

New Livery

Featuring strong shades of blue, the livery is a departure from what we know of Saudi carriers, which tend to focus on the greens and whites of the Saudi Arabian flag.

The first images have appeared on the Riyadh Air Facebook page:

Of the new livery, Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Prime Minister and Chairman of the Public Investment Fund (PIF) said: “We are delighted to unveil the first of two Riyadh Air livery designs, a perfect blend of cutting-edge technology and timeless elegance.” It’s not entirely clear yet if the airline plans to have a fleet with two different kinds of liveries, or if the airline is deciding between the designs.

It has appeared on Boeing 787-9 N8572C, which will show it off at the Paris Air Show next month.

The airline’s CEO Tony Douglas told FlightGlobal that “We are not going to go for one livery, we are actually going to go for two”. Riyadh Air plans to release its second livery later this year.
