American Airlines Adds Flagship Valor Special Scheme

by Matt Falcus

American Airlines today unveiled a new special livery on one of its Airbus A321 aircraft to mark National Medal of Honor Day in the United States.

The aircraft, Airbus A321 N167AN, wears the special ‘Flagship Valor’ scheme with ‘Medal of Honor’ titles on the rear fuselage and medals along the upper fuselage.

It is a flying tribute dedicated to recipients of the Medal of Honor, the highest award for military valor in action.

Flagship Valor was unveiled Thursday evening ahead of today’s groundbreaking of the National Medal of Honor Museum in Arlington, Texas. Expected to open in 2024, the new museum will create a permanent home for the incredible stories of America’s greatest heroes.
