Beond Airlines Launches Premium Leisure Model with A319

by Matt Falcus

New premium leisure carrier Beond Airlines was unveiled on 11 October in Dubai, with its first aircraft and livery presented to the media.

Beond is a new venture aimed at bringing premium leisure travel utilising this (and future) aircraft which features a 44-seat cabin in a luxurious lay-flat configuration.

Based in the Maldives, it hopes to offer premium travellers a unique experience getting to or from their destination.

Beond’s inaugural flights are scheduled for November 2023. It will serve Riyadh, Munich and Zurich from Male, and launch Milan in March 2024.

“Our aim is simple: to fly our customers to the most unique and unspoiled destinations where they can release their inner explorer on the most memorable vacation of their lives,” said Tero Taskila, CEO of Beond.

“Today is the realization of a dream I first had 20 years ago,” said Max Nilov, Chief Strategy Officer of Beond, and a founder. “I had a dream of this airline, for this aircraft, and for this experience for passengers. We have created a premium experience coupled with an operating philosophy that is unmatched.”

First Aircraft

Beond has chosen the Airbus A319 as its initial aircraft choice. The first to enter the fleet is 8Q-FBA, a former easyJet machine built in 2003.

The aircraft features a stunning livery of black and gold, with large outline ‘Beond’ titles running along the fuselage.

This first Beond aircraft will be on display at the Dubai Air Show in mid-November.

Additional Airbus aircraft will join the Beond fleet in late 2023 and early 2024. The second aircraft to arrive is anticipated to be an A321.
