Due for release this month is a brand new book which includes hundreds of rare and unseen photographs of the early life of the Boeing 737, and the many airlines around the world which flew it.
Boeing 737-100 and -200 is part of the book series from Key Publishing, written by myself, Matt Falcus, editor of Airport Spotting.
I’ve had a long fascination with the early Boeing 737s, probably because most of my early memories of flying in the 1980s were on this type – usually on holiday airlines like Britannia and Dan-Air London flying to the sun.
The result of this fascination has been a collection of photographs of 737-100s and -200s throughout its life, from first flights in 1967, to the few remaining present-day operators in Canada and Africa.
My outlet for these pictures has been this book, and I’m really proud of it.
