KLM Modifies Livery with Upcoming Airbus Deliveries

by Matt Falcus

Eagle-eyed viewers of the promotional images from KLM Royal Dutch Airlines depicting their upcoming Airbus A321neo aircraft will have spotted that they will feature a slightly modified livery for the airline.

The new scheme takes the blue forward part of the fuselage and nose and extends it further rearwards.

Elsewhere the livery remains the same, with the familiar white tail and bold KLM letters on the tail.

KLM’s new A321neo fleet will also feature the popular black surround around the cockpit windows which has become the norm with the latest Airbus products.

KLM is expecting to take delivery of its first new Airbus narrowbody aircraft this summer, with a mixed order split across the A320neo and A321neo models.

The order is also split between itself and subsidiaries Transavia Airlines and Transavia France, both of whom have already taken delivery of their first new A320neo family aircraft.

Whether the modified KLM livery will make its way across the entire fleet as repainting work progresses remains to be seen.
