San Francisco Terminal 2 Re-Opens in April

by Matt Falcus

San Francisco International Airport’s historic Terminal 2 is to re-open in April 2011 following a long re-fit and upgrade.

Opened in 1954, this was formerly the International Terminal before the current modern replacement was opened in 2000. When it re-opens this Spring, Terminal 2 will become the airport’s home to American Airlines and Virgin America flights. American was originally a tenant of the terminal when it first opened, so will be pleased to be coming ‘home’.

The design of T2 is a notable departure from traditional airport terminals
