Turkish Airlines and Airbus today announced a giant order for 220 aircraft.
The order comprises both the Airbus A321neo and A350 families of aircraft, and brings the total order book for Turkish with Airbus to 504 aircraft (212 of which have already been delivered).
Turkish Airlines Chairman of the Board and the Executive Committee, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Bolat stated: “This landmark order is more than an expansion; it’s a testament to our dedication to innovation, operational excellence, and a sustainable future. The addition of these advanced Airbus aircraft to our fleet will not only enhance our operational capabilities but also significantly contribute to our environmental goals. This investment is a crucial milestone in the further evolution of Türkiye’s aviation industry. By modernising our fleet with more efficient and environmentally friendly aircraft, we are reinforcing our leading position in global aviation and contributing to the nation’s prominence as an aviation hub.”
Order Breakdown
The giant order for Airbus aircraft can be broken down into the following parts:
- 150x Airbus A321neo
- 50x Airbus A350-900
- 15x Airbus A350-1000
- 5x Airbus A350F
Turkish had already ordered 14 A350-900s earlier this year.

The order also sees Turkish commit to the A350F freighter which will complement its fleet of Boeing 777 freighters operating all-cargo services.
