Air India Reveals New Livery and Branding

by admin

Air India is on the up, and if its recent aircraft orders and sale to the Tata Group are anything to go by, we’re going to be hearing and seeing a lot more of them over the coming years.

One thing that has been expected for a few months now is a revised corporate branding to go with the new ownership and vision for the future. As part of that, a new airline livery has been hotly anticipated.

At an event on 10 August, the new branding and livery of Air India was revealed and social media was quick to jump on it, spreading the images for comment and sharing. And so here we present Air India’s new livery to you:

Air India’s New Liver

The new Air India logo represents India’s culture. “The colours and patterns in new brand identity signifies confidence and progress as part of rebranding.” say the airline.

The official press release from the airline saw Campbell Wilson, Air India CEO & MD, state: “Our transformative new brand reflects an ambition to make Air India a world-class airline serving guests from around the globe, and that represents a new India proudly on the global stage.

“The new Air India is bold, confident, and vibrant, but also warm and deeply rooted to its rich history and traditions that make Indian hospitality a global benchmark for standards in service.”

Cabin Refurbishments

As well as the exterior changes to aircraft, the cabins of Air India’s fleet will be refurbished with new deliveries and starting on older aircraft. This will start with the Boeing 777-300ER fleet, followed by the 787 Dreamliners.
