For you spotters, loggers and aircraft photographers out there, here are the new airliners to look out for in May 2017.

airBaltic’s new colours appear on DHC-8 Q400 YL-BBT.

 

 

COMAC C919 Now Flying

C919 First Flight

The long awaited first flight of the new COMAC C919 airliner took place this month in Shanghai. You should now see the aircraft regularly testing.

 

Hawaiian Airlines New Colours

 


Hawaiian Airlines has revealed a modified branding and airline livery. It has appeared on Boeing 717 N488HA and will be rolled out across the fleet over coming years. Read more here.

 

Icelandair 80th Anniversary Livery

Icelandair has painted Boeing 757 TF-FIR into this new livery to commemorate the 80th anniversary of aviation in Iceland. 

 

Japan Air Commuter ATR 42

Japan Air Commuter’s first ATR 42, JA01JC, is now in service. It is the first of 8 aircraft on order.

 

 

Virgin America’s First A321neo

Not only the first Airbus A321neo for Virgin America, but the first to enter commercial service anywhere. Grab it soon as it will no doubt be painted into Alaska Airlines livery in the near future!

 

WOW Air First A320neo

The appropriately-registered TF-NEO is the first Airbus A320neo to join the Icelandic low-cost carrier.
