Danish Air Transport (DAT) announced on their Facebook page that they’ve sent their McDonnell Douglas MD-82, OY-RUT, to the paint shop to receive a special retro livery.

The classic airliner is due to be returned to service on 3rd May where you will see it on the airline’s network.

Also announced is that the airline is willing to offer seats on the delivery flight from Bournemouth, UK to Billund, Denmark on 3rd May, if there is enough interest.

The price would be 1,125Kr (£130/$168/EUR150). To show interest and book, simply email marketing@dat.dk

DAT is one of the last operators of the MD-80 series in Europe, so this would be a really special way to fly on the aircraft type if you haven’t already (or haven’t for a while).
