A new hotel at Moscow Sheremetyevo airport offers the perfect views for spotters and aviation enthusiasts visiting the Russian capital.

The Radisson Blu opened this year and is the only hotel to be linked directly to the terminals at Sheremetyevo, using a covered walkway.

The hotel has over 300 rooms and, crucially for aviation enthusiasts, has plenty on its upper floors which look over the runways and terminal gates at the airport.

Sheremetyevo is home to Aeroflot and many other international carriers. It has always been a notoriously difficult airport to spot at.

This new Moscow spotting hotel states that rooms on the 7th to 10th floors facing the airport offer great views, as can be seen from these pictures. The hotel’s Altitude restaurant on the 11th floor also faces the airport, with amazing views of aircraft landing and departing.

Most aircraft will be within easy reach of binoculars, and you can use flight tracking websites to find the rest. Photography is possible, but needs a strong lens.
